mixi Connect can be used to provide additional value to existing services as well as integrate social capabilities into new services in various ways. To make this possible, mixi offers the following methods to connect to mixi.

mixi Graph API

mixi Graph API is a set of APIs that allows mixi to be connected to 3rd parties. For instance there are communication related APIs which offer third parties information related to mixi’s social graph, a user’s profile, mixi Voice posts, and photos. mixi Connect capabilities are offered to allow web and device service providers to easily integrate mixi to promote the social aspects of their service.

mixi Plugin

mixi Plugin is a plugin service that allows web service providers to easily integrate with mixi by simply adding a tag in order to leverage mixi’s social graph. Going forward mixi plans to offer various plugin types which can be added to a web service to easily integrate mixi to promote the social aspects of their service.
